The lessons you will find on this website are designed to meet the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) in 6th-8th grades. They have not been Streamlined. They are set up for use in a science notebook the size of a composition book for a 90 minute block. Some of the lessons have live links for animations and others make reference to videos from various sources. Most of the videos are the next file on the page. Please download the videos rather than stream them.
There is an Exit Ticket for each lesson. The questions for 6th grade are the same on each side. The questions for 7th and 8th grade are in a different order. The title is italicized on one side.
Homework pages Science Shorts and Science Skills can now be found after the lesson pages. They are designed to be printed front to back.
Since the lessons that are on this website are in Word you may download them to your computer and change the lay out, page numbers, typos and graphics.
Feel free to make any changes that will allow them to be more useful in your classroom.
There have been problems with printing the files. The last file in each unit is a zip file of pdf documents. You won't be able to edit them, but they should print correctly.
Please read the Teacher Information. Inside you will find a list of materials needed, helpful hints, the focus of the lesson and SIOP Language Objectives.
The small boxes at the top of each page are for page numbers. I encourage you to number the pages before printing. It will save your sanity!
